Wish I had your list today. The next morning I looked & low & behold there were 150 updates downloaded & waiting for me to install. I did some searches that told me to manually download & installed Service Pack 3 for XP. In my case there were three areas that it fixed: Service registration is missing or corrupt - Reset service registration.
