However, a few minutes into the game I realized that the lack of sound was not due to my character going deaf from an initial explosion. To get it to work, go to "START" - "Control Panel" - "Hardware and Sound" -"Sound" - go to the "recording" tab - right click " Show disabled devices " click Up next Bioshock Audio Problem Troubleshooting (HD) - Duration: 4:51.
