A router can only allocate addresses by DHCP, either unchanging or variable. Remember to turn off smart setup and split the wireless networks again afterwards. I'll monitor if the problem stops now I've set the lease renewal to 21 days instead of 24 hours, but will log it with BT anyway. My firmware version is 6.1.1.R after about 4 months - I haven't received any update yet. Persistent configuration is also known as using a static IP address. I have never come across this.
