Microsoft has a way of trying to force us to change to the crappy, bug ridden new releases if they prove unpopular for these very reasons. Well it didn't last long until the back and forward buttons stopped working. I'm using firefox on the machine in question in the meantime until I get it figured out. IE back button died, when using sites like stuff that have adds from doubleclick.net. The back button will work normally for some period of time, then just stop responding. Now again open this setting and this time check the Internet Explorer box and restart your computer. 3] Reset Internet Explorer If you find that your Internet Explorer is not working I think using the search window in IE8 confuses googles auto search sometimes and redirects it back to google home.

I guess the google redirecting could be googles fault but I'm not sure if google could compromise my IE8 back and forward buttons.
